Poem

Let my brush wander with my emotions.

Nature is full of life and ceaselessly emits the energy of life.
The reason nature touches our heart is because of its constant dazzling energy.
I paint to show nature’s vitality and life likeness.
When I see nature, I feel happiness.
I feel like returning to my hometown, which I have missed for so long,
and where I felt comfortable being held in my mother’s bosom.
When I paint the energy emanating from nature, I think, “Ah, now I have returned to my hometown.”
Magnificent trees standing on the earth make my heart throb.
Earth and trees are alive and full of spirit. The vitality emitted from nature is truth.
It has been one year since I painted in full-scale the vitality of nature.
That vitality touches me, my paint shows that through the brush.
My artistic spirit thirsts for paintings which nature connects with our lives.
Violet, pink, blue, white on my canvas are not just colors.
They are my emotions made passionately through a brush.
When I paint nature’s vitality, I am filled with rapture and passion.
My hand holding a brush has strength. I feel fresh joy I’ve never felt before.
I paint very freely. I let my brush wander with my emotions.
And I want my paintings to be natural.
I don’t think about what critics say about my work.
If people experience nature’s vitality from my painting and derive strength and hope from it, that is enough.
For half a century I have made ceramics with earth.
On a firm foundation my artistic spirit has been built up with earth,
I am going to build a house with my paintings of nature’s vitality.
